Arizona Unit 5B north is often overlooked as a quality Elk unit. Every year hunters that are willing to work hard and do their pre-hunt scouting take home trophy Elk out of this unit.
The unit habitat types in unit 5B North varies greatly. From thick Ponderosa forest on the west side to near desert like plains on the east side. All of these areas hold Elk to some degree. If there is a decent amount of snow, the Elk will move to the lower elevations.
